This week for the millers

My son and I dramatically point to the (old now) Prowler U.S. Navy jets and the sign welcoming folks to Oak Harbor (Whidbey Island) and the Navy's premier Growler and P-8 etc. Air Station. My Grandfather and Grandmother served in the Navy and ended up here, my Dad also, and I myself joined the Navy in an attempt to escape the Island as a kid - only to be stationed back here at VP-1 in my Active Duty days haha! Oh the irony!
All in a week's time...we celebrated my wife's birthday, I have the honor of sitting down and mic'ing up (is that a word?) two UFO eyewitnesses for the podcast later this afternoon, my daughter finishes her last day of pre-school, I have my annual Navy PRT this weekend (I still continue my service in the reserves), and it's officially the nice-weather kickoff for river kayaking! YES - you CAN get 3 sit-on-top kayaks up to the river on a Kia Soul for those that were curious (and 3 more inflatables in the trunk!)
We are 23 weeks in and my subjective view on Time has me seeing 2023 just fly by - I feel like I put my head down to work and the next moment I look up it's the end of the day, end of the week, now the end of the month! For those of you on the other side of this - do you, and if so how, ever find a stillness or calmness or something that allows a feeling of "time is slow, this will never end, I have all day, all week, all month" kind of thing? I want to enjoy where I am at, or what I am doing, but often times find myself robbed by the "fact" that it's already hours later, or the next weekend, etc. What is the "hack" for making time stand still? I shall await your feedback - the collective wisdom dearest readers - in great anticipation while I finish this here in the wee hours of the morning, and while also, in the meantime, Time marches ever...

Apple, the California tech giant, has always been 1 or 2 steps behind the competition when it comes to innovation. Touch screens, mp3 players, wireless earbuds, the list goes on. None of these were invented by Apple, but boy did they make them mainstream. Although Apple is never the first to try something, they usually are the first to perfect it. So when I heard their announcement of AR goggles, I have to say I'm excited. The goggles we've seen so far are boring, clunky, and more of a kid's meal toy than a fully functioning device. So what will Apple do to bring their perfect touch to such a niche and problematic market?
