Can I keep this week's update for you all positive? Honestly - it's hard this week. It has been full, busy, tiring, hard, sad and difficult in many respects. But! I am breathing. The Lord is sovereign. I am blessed beyond measure. And doing better than I deserve. So! Out with week 22, and on with week 23! It's hard to sulk when I live in a place where my commute involves a ferry like the photo above!

This week for the millers

Busy busy busy! Day-by-day, night-by-night...I spent most of the week up in Bellingham (and then driving back and forth for random appointments!) for this year's Ski2Sea 2023 (click HERE for the youtube short!) and most of the nights *ahem - looking at you Dream Team colleagues!* in professional bonding. The above photo are my colleagues and professional partners from Whidbey, and I gotta say - we rocked that place! For a Bellingham-centric event, we showed up early to set up, ran the events, and stayed late to clean through Memorial Day weekend! Great job A-Team! If you didn't see last week - Ski2Sea is the 100-mile relay race from Mt. Baker to the Bellingham waterfront. To make it better, our racing team took 14th place out of 479 teams! Nice!
In between the week of sponsorship work, we had a 100+ person BBQ on Monday for the local Navigator ministry, I recorded another podcast episode, and I was blessed to celebrate my oldest turning 8 years old! Below is a photo of him - "Oliver the Great, from Washington State, Turning 8, Eating Cake" haha! Thanks to my Momma for another majestic cake build, and we had a wonderful party orchestrated by my lovely Grace. Speaking of, right into this week is her birthday (though for some reason she probably would not want me making up a poem about her age and cake) so we will celebrate in style by simply pretending it's not even happening. It's Sunday though. THIS Sunday. Grace. Birthday. If you see her, say hi! Part of her celebration involves a kid-less date to see Les Mis at the 5th Avenue in Seattle with parents so we are definitely looking forward to that! If you've read this far - keep going! Lots of things coming up (listed below) and one of the more affordable properties in the Woodlands! Busy busy busy! 1st day of June and life is moving...
